Cummings wins it for Hibs
Jason Cummings came off the bench to give Hibernian their first league win of the season as they beat Morton 1-0 at Easter Road in the Ladbrokes Scottish Championship
Liam Fontaine headed over an early opportunity for the hosts before Morton enjoyed the early pressure without creating any chances.
Hibs' Dominique Malonga and John McGinn fired wide, team-mate Fraser Fyvie soon forcing Derek Gaston into making a stunning reaction save with 32 minutes on the clock.
Morton's best chance of the first half fell to Stefan McCluskey as Mark Oxley saved his close-range strike well before Gaston was on hand again to deny David Gray at the other end, as he rose highest to meet Danny Carmichael's corner.
Substitute Cummings scored within seconds of coming on, after 58 minutes, using his first touch to neatly convert Gray's pinpoint cross for his third goal in four games.
There was also a substitute appearance from new Hibs loan signing, Liam Henderson from Celtic.
Dylan Stevenson had a late chance for Morton, but he failed to hit the target as Alan Stubbs' men held on
