Players' Player of the Year Award Nominations announced.

The nominations for this year's Players' Player of the Year Award where announced today, with a distinct lack of Hibs players in the list.

For the Players' Player award the nominations are:

John Hartson - Celtic
Nach Novo - Rangers
Fernando Ricksen - Rangers
Paul Hartley - Hearts.

Young Players' Player nominations are:

Derek Riordan - Hibs
Mark Wilson - Dundee Utd
Aiden McGeady - Celtic
Craig Gordon - Hearts.

Stephen Glass & Gary Caldwell got overlooked but are well worth inclusion after a superb season for the Hi-Bees.

Hibs' prolific hitman Gary O'Connor and the on form full back pairing of Stephen Whittacker and David Murphy also got overlooked in the young players section. While Dean Shiels must surely be worth a look.
