Newcastle United are preparing to make a move for Tony Caig when tyhe transfer window opens, the Daily Mail reported today.
Although the Magpies have Shay Given and Steve Harper, Sir Bobby Robson is said to be keen on landing Caig as his third choice, with current No 3 keeper John Karelse's contarct ending next summer.
It is thought Caig would be keen on the move, as it would mean a wage rise, and he would go from not playing for an average SPL side, to not playing for a top EPL side in the Champions League! No competition!!!! Caig has played 5 times under BW, but since Colgan has been in

such fine form recently, it would be hard for Caig to move him.
Meanwhile, Ian Murray made his Scotland debut in the 3-1 win against Canada at ER last night. He came on for Lee Wilkie in the latter stages, and acquitted himself well. Hibs were also represented in the Canadian line up with Paul Fenwick playing in the Canuck's defence.
