Irish sides linked with Hibs defender Kyle McClelland

The Daily Record reports that Hibs defender Kyle McClelland is currently in demand, with interest from both Coleraine and Glentoran.

The 22-year-old, who joined the Hibees on a three-year deal from Rangers in 2022, has made only one appearance since his debut against Livingston in August of the same year.

After a loan spell with Cove Rangers, which ended in March 2023, McClelland spent the entire last season on loan at Queen of the South, earning their Player of the Year award.

With a single year left on his contract, he returns to Easter Road.

Although former manager Montgomery deemed him surplus to requirements, there's speculation whether the new manager, David Gray, might offer him another opportunity.

HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW

Not surprised by this, he has only managed one first team appearance and has now been on loan twice.

Hibs are looking to trim a big squad, and 10 players have already left the club, could the Northern Irish kid be next?
