Hibs striker Chris Killen to sign for Celtic!!!!!!

Last updated : 04 June 2007 By Steve Forbes

Hibs out of contract forward Chris Killen has angered English Championship side Cardiff City by pulling out on an agreed deal to agree terms with Celtic!!!

The
New Zealand international had agreed terms with the Bluebirds and had flown down on Wednesday for his medical. Terms had been agreed and the paperwork was sorted, but Killen pulled out of the deal at the 11th hour and it now seems he will sign for Celtic.

This coming only days after he stated how much he wished he'd joined
Cardiff in January in an apparent swipe at Hibs.

Cardiff boss Dave Jones was irate and said:

"Let's just say I'm not happy with the lad, it's best left there."

Chairman Peter Ridsdale was also fuming and said:

"We are in the market for players that want to play for this club and it's best to find out now rather than further down the line.

"This move clearly demonstrates that Chris Killen did not feel for the club, and I look at this as a lucky escape for this club.

"It's best we know now of a player's commitment, rather than a couple months after signing him.

"I only want players at this club that will give total commitment to what we are trying to achieve here.

"We now move on from this particular target. I've been around football too long to be surprised.

"Now time will be spent on three other targets we have for that position."

Killen will become the FOURTH Hibs player to head to Celtic in the last 12 months, following Derek Riordan, Scott Brown & Gary Caldwell along the M8.
