Hibs today completed the signing of Grimsby Town's 6ft 7in Man Mountain centre half Rob Jones.
Jones, 26, has signed a 4 year contract at Easter Road.
The fee is undisclosed, but thought to be in the region of £100,000.
Tony Mowbray has had his eye on Jones for a while after watching him a couple of times during last season.
Jones signed for Grimsby in 2004.
The players agent said:
"Rob is looking forward to getting himself up there and is already looking at properties,".
"He is trying to move things quickly because his wife has just given birth to their first child.
"A lot has happened in a short space of time and he is trying to get his feet back on the ground.
"Tony has done a fantastic job so far in his time at Hibs and Rob was attracted by that."
Jones is delighted to sign for the Hi-Bees and said:
"I am happy to join Hibernian Football Club, it's a big step for me and i am delighted with the opportunity to be part of a big club with such a rich heritage. I hope to make a real difference to the squad, to improve as a player and hopefully help the club progress".
