Hibs Midfielder Antonio Murray Told He Can Leave!

Hibs boss Tony Mowbray today revealed, somewhat surprisingly, that he was willing to let Antonio Murray leave the club.

Murray has spent the last week on trial with Wycombe Wanderers and he has reportedly impressed new Wycombe boss Paul Lambert.

Antonio broke into the side a couple of seasons back after a free transfer to Hibs from championship side
Ipswich Town.

He played in Hibs last 15 games and impressed so much that he was under consideration for a Scotland U-21 call up.

The midfielder then picked up a back injury which plagued him througout the whole of last season and he only made one appearance, the last game of the season against
Kilmarnock.

Murray has told Hibs he would like to return south to pursue his career.

Hibs boss Tony Mowbray said:

"It's not as if we are trying to push Antonio out of the door.

"He's had a tough year on various fronts and, because of his lack of playing time through injury, I think he would probably appreciate the opportunity to get back down south.

"We'll wait and see what develops but if he does go then it opens a space for us to bring another signing in."

Good luck in the future Antonio, from all at Hibernian-Mad.
