Hibs make approach for St Johnstone striker Jason Scotland

Last updated : 24 May 2007 By Steve Forbes

News has reached www.Hibernian-mad.co.uk that Hibs boss John Collins has entered the race for the signature of St Johnstone striker Jason Scotland.

Hibs boss Collins has apparently registered his interest in the forward with his club and could be about to pounce for the prolific hitman.

Scotland, 28, is out of contract at the end of August and it would only take a nominal fee to release the forward from his contract.

The Trinidad & Tobago internationalist joined St Johnstone from Dundee Utd in 2005 and has scored 33 goals in 66 games for the
Perth side.

Hibs will face competition for the players signature from Dundee Utd as well as Welsh side
Swansea City.
