Hibs have tonight been linked with a move for Stoe City defender Liam Lindsay.
The Hibees are casting any eye on the former Partick Thistle defender, should Ryan Porteous leave the club, following a £1.3m bid from Millwall yesterday.
According to Football League World, Lindsay, 25, is who manager Jack Ross has indentfied as Porteous' replacement, should a transfer happen before the window closes in a couple of days.
Despite paying Barnsley £2.5m for his services in June 2019, Lindsay is currently 5th or 6th in the pecking order for a starting spot, and it seems Hibs think they can do a deal to land the player.
Editors View:
Lindsay would be a brilliant signing, we all know how good he was for Partick Thistle, and has always been on the fringes of the Scotland squad as well.
He's the type of player we should be looking to sign REGARDLESS of wether Porteous leaves or not.
We are short at centre half now, if Porto leaves, we may have a problem.
