Hibs linked with Darryl Duffy & Austrian full back Patrick Osoinik

Last updated : 13 May 2007 By Steve Forbes
According to news reports over the weekend, Hibs boss John Collins is eyeing another two players for summer switches to Easter Road.

Darryl Duffy

Hull City's 23-year-old former Rangers, Falkirk and Scotland U-21 striker Darryl Duffy is thought to be high on John Collins wanted list and it's thought Hibs have already placed a bid for the player.

Hull City are thought to be after the £250,000 they paid for Duffy and it is thought Hibs could be willing to match that valuation.

Hibs face competition for his signature from
Swansea City, who Duffy was on loan to at the end of the season and Hartlepool.

Swansea have tabled a bid of around £150,000 for hitman and it's though Hibs have at least matched that.

Duffy's agent said:

"Darryl has been accepted at Swansea and they're favourites at the moment but Hibs are a big club and we'll await developments."

Patrick Osoinik

Patrick Osoinik, 22, is another supposed target of Hibs as a possible replacement for Blackburn Rovers and Birmingham City target Steven Whittaker.

It's thought Collins is targeting the Austrian, who can play right back or centre half, incase Hibs receive a bid for Whittaker that they can't turn down.

It is thought
Blackburn Rovers are ready to offer £2m for the Hi-bees full back, with strong competition for his signature from Birmingham City.

Right back Osoinik currently plays in the Austrian Bundesliga with Admira Modling Wacker. The same team Hibs have already secured wonder kid Elias Wagner from on a pre-contract agreement.

The player started his career at Austria Vienna as a youngster.
