Hibs drew Peterhead in this afternoon's CIS Cup 2nd round draw. Hibs were drawn at home against the 2nd division side.

It will be the first time that the two clubs have EVER faced each other.

The tie will be played on either Tuesday 22nd or Wednesday 23rd of August.

A little info on our opponents......

Peterhead's home ground is Balmoor in Peterhead, with a capacity of 4000.

Peterhead were founded in 1890 and initially played in the Aberdeenshire League, before switching to the Highland Football League in the 1930s. A revamp of the Scottish Leagues saw them granted league status in 2000 along with local highland rivals Elgin City.

In season 2004-2005 they got their first promotion after finishing second in Division Three.

In season 2005-2006, Peterhead finished 3rd in Division 2, entering promotion playoffs. Here they defeated 2nd place Morton in the first round. They then lost on penalties to Partick Thistle after extra time.

A home draw for the Hi-Bees.
