Hibs chasing Norwich City keeper Paul Gallacher???

Last updated : 10 May 2007 By Steve Forbes

Hibs have this afternoon been linked with a move for Norwich City and Scotland goalkeeper Paul Gallacher.

Gallacher, 28, who has nine caps for
Scotland, has been watched by both John Collins and his assistant Tommy Craig over the last few months as Hibs look to sort out the problem goalkeeper position at Easter Road.

According to a local
Edinburgh radio station Collins has had his eye on Gallacher for quite some time and is one of a number of possibilities on the Hibs managers list of goalkeeping targets.

Over the last few weeks Hibs have also been linked to
Chelsea keeper Yves Makaba Makalamby and Dunfermline's Dutch keeper Dorus De Vries.

Collins it seems is intent on adding at least one keeper to the Easter Road squad over the summer as he looks to replace exiting calamity keepers Zibi Malkowski and Simon Brown.

One stumbling block however could be a transfer fee as Gallacher still has one year left on his contract. The former Dundee Utd keeper has also made 30 appearances for Norwich City this season and seems to be held in quite high regard by the Canaries management.
