Hibs today revealed that veteran defender Gary Smith, 35 will not be given a new contract at the club.
Smith's contract run's out at the end of the season and Hibs boss Tony Mowbray has decided to release Smith at the end of his current deal.
Smith signed from Aberdeen in the summer of 2000, also spent a season in France with Rennes.
Gary has been a good servant to the club, but Hibs feel his age is now working against him.
