Former Hibs captain Ian Murray has tonight been appointed player/manager of first division side Dumbarton.
The 31-year-old was only released as a player by Pat Fenlon this past summer.
Murray, handed a testimonial by the Hibees last season, spent the time since his Easter Road release on coaching courses in the U.S. and it seems to have paid off!!
The former Norwich City, Rangers and Scotland midfielder won't take charge until after Saturday's game with Dunfermline Athletic, as the Sons attempt to work themselves away from the bottom of division one.
Murray will have former Dunfermline, Falkirk and Scotland B international Jack Ross as his assistant manager.
Everyone connected with Hibernian-Mad would lik to wish Nid the very best for the future in his new job.
