www.Hibernian-mad.co.uk understands that ex Hibees striker Sam Morrow is training with SPL side St Mirren.

The 22-year-old
Northern Ireland internationalist has arrived in Paisley to impress Buddies boss Gus McPherson.

Morrow spent some time training with his home town club Derry City during the last few weeks and it seems they are willing to offer him terms, but they could not compete with what is on offer at Love Street and could yet see St Mirren take the player from under there noses.

Morrow arrived at in Edinburgh on a free transfer from Ipswich Town in the summer of 2004, becoming one of Tony Mowbray's first signings as Hibs boss.

The forward had a hard time at Hibs, failing to brake up the prolific partnership of Derek Riordan and Garry O'Connor at Easter Road. He was loaned out to then SPL side Livingston, but he suffered a horrific cruciate ligament injury while playing against Inverness Caley and was out of the game for some 10 months.

When he finally made it back from the injury, he again struggled to get in to the Hibs side, even though Riordan & O'Connor had left the club. He had to then deal with Benji, Fletcher & Killen!!!

It now seems he could become a target of St Mirren, who are also believed to be on the verge of signing Hibees midfielder Stephen Glass.
