Hibs star Dean Shiels could be about to make a dramatic comeback to the Hibs side at Pittodrie tomorrow afternoon!!

The midfield dynamo, has been out since having to have an eye removed that he had hurt as a seven year old and has been blind in ever since.

The eye had become painful and Shiels has missed most of this season.

The operation has been a complete success and Shiels could make a shock return against the Sheep tomorrow.

Shiels played the full 90 minutes in the reserve fixture against
Kilmarnock and scored Hibs goal in the 1-1 draw.

Hibs manager Tony Mowbray said:

"Dean has finished all his visits to Manchester where he has been seeing a consultant and now he is just trying to get his fitness levels back to where he can produce the kind of performances he was a year ago," said Mowbray.

"He got a goal and the full 90 minutes for the reserves and I'm delighted for him as he's been working very hard.

"I would think there is every chance we will see him back in action before the end of the season and he will be there or thereabouts for tomorrow.

"Whether tomorrow comes too soon or not really depends on what else we have available and that is something I'll decide later on today."

GREAT NEWS!!! Well done Deano!!!

Amazing courage from such a young man!

Welcome back, you have been missed!
