Colgan produced three world class saves to keep Killie at bay at the weekend, and said: "Obviously from the point of view of climbing the table, getting these three points will help confidence. We've got a tough CIS cup tie away to Alloa tomorrow night but, and I don't mean any disrespect to them, the league is our bread and butter. The most important thing for us at the moment is to climb the table, and the quicker the better."
A lot has been made of the fact that BW has changed goalies a few times this season, after indifferent performances. But Colgan now wants to make the starting spot his own again, after he was ruled out for two games.
Colgan said: "I was gagging to play in the Dunfermline game after keeping a clean sheet against Motherwell but I picked up this freak injury the day before. There was no point in playing at Celtic Park when I wasn't 100 per cent fit but I was involved with the Irish squad just after the Motherwell game and I want to keep my form going and be part of our European Championship campaign. Everyone wants to play every week and I'm no different."
After the shift he turned in on Saturday, and if he can continued that kind of form, it would be very difficult for Caig to shift him.
