Young Hibs keeper Murray Johnson joins Airdrie on emergency loan

Hibs keeper Murray Johnson today joined Airdrie on an emergency loan deal.

The 17-year-old joined the League One side on a short 7-day deal and immediately made his debut, and kept a clean sheet, this afternoon as Airdrie beat Peterhead 2-0.

It's uncler if Johnson will play another game for the Diamonds, with their next game not until next Saturday, against Queen of the South.

Murray is normally in the Hibs development squad, and is currently Hibs No.3

HIBS-MAD VIEW:

We would say good luck, but the deal could already be over.

Young Johnson getting 90 mins at just 17 is excellent for him, and to keep a clean sheet is a bonus.

We wonder if Airdrie may now extend the loan?
