Hibs Ladies took a big step towards qualification for the last 32 of the Uefa Women's Champions League this afternoon, with a win over Cardiff Met in Slovenia.
The Hibees fought off a late spirited figtback from the Welsh side, after going down to 10 players after the sending off of Amy Gallacher for a second yellow card on 58 minutes.
Hibs defender Siobhan Hunter missed a penalty after only five minutes , but Amy Gallacher gave the Ladies in Green and White the lead after 15 minutes.
Scotland international and Hibs Ladies legend Joelle Murray headed home a second on 68 minutes, to give Hibs breathing space after the sending off.
Cardiff then applied some pressure and managed to pull a goal back through Allen on 88 minutes, but the Hibees held on to secure the 3 points and their 100% record in Group D.
Grant Scott's side now need just a draw against the Group Three hosts Pomurje Beltinci on Tuesday to secure top spot, but Should Pomurje fail to beat Tblisi Nike later today, The Scots will qualify this evening.

They deserve a massive amount of credit after bouncing back from their recent defeat to Glasgow City.
Hibs have started their Champions League campaign in good form and are looking good for qualification, let's hope they can get it over the line and get in with the big guns.
Everyone remembers their Champions League games against Bayern Munich a few years ago, and the Ladies will be hoping for more of the same this year.
