Terry Butcher will this afternoon be announced as new manager of Hibernian Football Club.
The club has called a 2pm press conference at Easter Road, and Butcher, along with assistant Maurice Malpas will be introduced to the media.
The management duo held talks with Hibs chairman Rod Petrie yesterday to thrash out salary and contract negotiations, that is expected to have seen both sign a three-year-deal.
No.2 Malpas even turned down the chance to replace Butcher as Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager to follow him to Edinburgh.
Butcher is also keen to bring the rest of his backrrom staff with him, No.3 and Hibs legend John Brownlie and Goalkeeping coach and head scout Steve Marsella.
Welcome to the club Terry, a fantastic appointment by the club and one that will hopefully turn round the teams fortunes.
