Last updated : 08 July 2007 By Steve Forbes

Hibs played there first pre-season friendly tonight, as they look to get the fitness up before the season kick's off in a few weeks time.

Boss John Collins kept to his promise and played a different side in each half of the game.

The team for the first half was:

Makalamby

McCann
Jones
Hogg
Murphy

Kerr
Stevenson
Boozy
O'Brien

Benji
Shiels

Hibs started the game brightly and took the lead through Benji but Vocklabruck pulled it back and went in to the half time break 2-1 ahead.

Manager Collins completely changed the line up for the second half, with only keeper Makalamby staying on the park, the team for the second half was:

Makalamby

Gathuessi (Cameroonian trialist)
Joneleit
McCormack
McCaffrey

Whittaker
Zemmama
Chisholm
Glass

Donaldson
Trialist (an as yet unknown forward)

Hibs pulled a goal back in the second half through German new boy Torben Joneleit.

Vocklabruck managed to hold on for a 3-2 win in what will prove to be a good exercise for the squad as they look for fitness for the up coming SPL season.
