STOP PRESS. April 1 2002....

It has come to my attention that our beloved club is in talks to move the team south to the border town of Galashiels. I am lead to believe that the main reason for this is that there is not enough sunlight getting to the Easter Road.

Moving the team south would eradicate this problem, with the lovely wee border town enjoyed much more sunlight than Edinburgh, meaning a lush, green pitch all year round.

The existing stadium would be transported down the road as it's cheaper than buying a new one, and top brass are already in talks over would should move the ground, with ACME leading the way, with their experience of wacky gadgets and major removals a la Loony Toons.

This move will shock and concern Hibs fans worldwide, as it is still not known if Gala has plans to build more pubs, and of course, a MacDonalds.

On a brighter note, it looks as though Hibs may be set to sign Rivaldo on loan. The majestic Brazilian looks set to move from Barca in the summer, and may want to keep his fitness levels up.

The gifted midfielder/striker fancies the idea of an SPL scrap and could be the ideal cover for Freddy Arpinon. However, rumours that Hibs are going for Michael Owen as well are just silly!
