Hibs have today announced that they have released defender Sean Mackie.
The 23-year-old will not have his contract renewed when it runs out on July 1st.
Mackie, was one of a number of players who were released this afternoon as new boss Lee Johnson pushes his summer re-build into full swing.
Hibs signed Mackie as an exciting youngster way back in 2016 from Raith Rovers, as a 17-year-old, in a reported £50,000 deal.
He spent numerous loan spells away from Easter Road with Berwick Rangers, Edinburgh City, Dundee and most recently a return to Raith Rovers.
The wing back managed to make 22 appearances for the Hibees during his spell with the club.
He also made one appearance for Scotland U21's.
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
Another player who's exit from the Hibees was not a surprise.
He spent the last few season out on loan and never really managed to hold down a first team spot in the green and white for an extended period.
However, Sean always seemed like a good player, who never really got a chance at the club, and always played well when given the chance.
Good luck to him wherever he ends up.
