Hibs rounded off their pre-season tour of Holland this afternoon, with a creditable draw with Vitesse Arnhem at the Polis Direct Stadion in Driel.

Arnhem took the lead through Roy De Ruiter after 40 minutes.

The corner was swung in to the Hibees box, and was scrambled over the line by the Dutch striker.

A double disappointment for the cabbage considering they had a stonewall penalty claim turned down just minutes before.

Stokes and Riordan linked up well in attack, and made a couple of half chances, but Arnhem went in 1-0 up at half time.

Arnhem had the better of the game, and probably shaded the second half, but Derek Riordan equalised with a cracking goal, and the Hibees ended their tour with a positive result.

The Hibs line-up was:

Stack, Wotherspoon, Stephens, Thicot, Stevenson, Galbraith, De Graaf, Rankin, Stokes, Nish, Riordan.

Subs:

Smith, Hart, Miller, Murray, McBride, Hogg, Currie, Hanlon.

The Hibees now gear up for Thursday’s Europa League 3rd Round Qualifier, first leg, against NK Maribor in Slovenia.
