Last updated : 28 July 2009 By Steve Forbes

Hibs lost to Shamrock Rovers tonight, in a pre-season friendly at the Tallaght Stadium, in front of about 2,600 spectators.

Around 400 Hibs fans made the trip to the game, as the club completed it’s mini tour of Ireland.

Rovers, managed by former Hibs midfielder Michael O’Neill, triumphed 1-0 through a goal from Sean O’Connor, midway through the 2nd half.

It was a lacklustre performance from the Hibees, who didn’t deserve anything from the game.

The Hibs line-up was:

Ma-Kalambay

Hanlon
Bamba
Thicot
McCormack (McCann)

Wotherspoon
McBride (Rankin)
Cregg
Stevenson

Nish (Galbraith)
Riordan (Byrne)

Subs:

Flynn
Hogg
Van Zanten
Galbraith
Byrne
McCann
Rankin
