Hibs put in another super display tonight, in their second pre-season game, with a 4-0 win over Queen of the South at Palmerston.

The Hibees smashed Dunfermline 4-0 at East End Park on Saturday, and a much changed line-up did the same to Queens.

John Hughes made six changes to the starting line-up at Dunfermline, and the in coming players didn’t disappoint.

Stack, Galbraith, Stevenson, Hart, Stephens and Welsh all coming in to the side.

Galbraith gave the Hibees the lead, after some good work from Colin Nish, who played a ball through the defence for the former Man Utd youngster, who slotted the ball home.

Hibs second goal came quite bizarrely, but it was all down to the work of Galbraith.

The winger chased a ball that looked like heading out, the Queens defence stopped, but Galbraith managed to keep it in, and cross the ball for Ian Murray to knock it home.

Lewis Stevenson then made it 3-0 with a stunning strike, his first in senior football.

Again it was down to the work of big Colin Nish, who held of the defence, then threading the ball to Stevenson, who dispatched a stunning, curling shot past the keeper, and into the top corner.

Hughes only made one change at half time, Mark Brown replacing Graham Stack in goals.

Hibs made it 0-4 only five minutes after the re-start, with an absolute peach from man of the match, big Colin Nish.

The 29-year-old hit a shot from fully 30 yards, that flew past the keeper, hit the inside of the post and went in.

Hughes then made a host of changes with Byrne, Horner, Thicot, Currie, McCann and Taggart, replacing Wotherspoon, Murray, Rankin, Stephens, Hogg and Nish.

Likely due to the number of changes made, Hibs lost their way a bit, and let Queens back in to the game for a spell, but another good display secured a win for the cabbage.
