Hibs U19 side was in action again this afternoon, and produced a superb display to dispose of Newcastle United U18’s at East Mains.
The young Hibees dominated the first half, and it’s no exaggeration to suggest they could have hit double figures by half time.
Unfortunately they only managed to hit two, through goals from Ross Caldwell and Daniel Handling.
Newcastle made a better game of it in the second half, but the Hibees were never really troubled.
John Wright then added a third in the second half to put the game beyond doubt, and put another cross in the win column for the Hibs U19 side.
Up next for the Academy boys is a trip to face Preston Athletic on Saturday.
