Hibs lost the first game of their pre-season trip to Holland tonight.

The game was played in hot, humid conditions, and the Hibees struggled to get their game going in Tubbergen.

Heracles took the lead after in the 5th minute through Brazilian attacker Everton Ramos Da Silva, who swept the ball home after some poor Hibs defending.

The Eredivisie side then went 2-0 up just before half time, when Ghanaian midfielder Kwame Quansah, bulleted a header past keeper Graham Smith from a corner.

Former Ajax player Quansah, 27, then grabbed a third in the second half, to end a poor evening for the Hibees.

Hibs boss john Hughes deployed a 4-5-1 formation, and the line-up was:

Smith, Hart, Hogg, Hanlon, Stevenson, De Graaf, McBride, Miller, Rankin, Wotherspoon, Stokes.

Subs: Stack, Murray, Stephens, Galbraith, Currie, Nish, Thicot.

Hibs have another three games coming up in the next 10 days, against another three Eredivisie sides - NEC Nijmegen, Ado Den Haag and Vitesse Arnhem.
