A young Hibs side travelled over the Forth Road Bridge tonight to face East Fife in a pre-season friendly.
The Hibees came away with a 2-0 win thanks to goals from the impressive Danny Galbraith, signed from Manchester United this summer, and another added by Jack Wilson.
Winger Galbraith gave the Hibs XI the lead from the penalty spot, to send them in 1-0 up at the break, before Wilson sealed the win on the hour mark.
Good news for Hibs manager John Hughes, who was watching from the stand, is that Kevin McCann got 90 minutes under his belt and looked impressive, as he continues his recovery from tendonitis in the knee, which has kept him out for nearly 18 months.
The Hibs XI was made up of mostly last seasons all conquering U19 side, and the lads who will replace them as the new look U19 side come the new season.
Another new boy, 18-year-old Tom McCready, was on the bench having arrived from English Premiership side Everton last week.
Along with Galbraith and McCann, Joe Keenan was only other player with first team experience.
