Pre-Season: Hibs 4-2 Burton Albion

Hibs played their second pre-season friendly this afternoon over in Portugal, and eased to a win over Burton Albion.

The Hibees beating the English League One side, managed by Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, 4-2.

Burton took the lead, but new Hibs signing, striker Elie Youan quickly had the scores back on level terms at 1-1.

Norwegian hitman Elias Melkersen then scored a quick double early in the second half, through two good finishes, before Burton pulled another back.

Hibs then grabbed a fourth through a deflected Nohan Kenneh shot to make it 4-2, handing the men in green their second win this week, after Wednesday's 2-0 win over Hartlepool.

Manager Lee Johnson again, elected to play to different teams in each half, as the squad builds fitness.

Hibs 1st half: Dabrowski, Miller, Porteous, McClelland, Stevenson, Tavares, Kenneh, Newell, McGeady, Doidge, Youan.

Hibs 2nd Half: Marshall, Cadden, Bushiri, Brydon, Doig, Hauge (Kenneh), Campbell, Delferriere, Doyle-Hayes, Henderson, Melkersen.

Hibs-Mad:

An encouraging sign to see us scoring goals again, although you have to take it with a pinch of salt considering it's pre-season and an English League One side.

It's all about getting minutes into the players and the new guys gelling together.

There will be much more challenging games in the new season, but we are looking pretty good so far in pre-season, long may it continue.
