Hibs played their first pre-season game this afternoon, an strolled to victory over Hartlepool in the blazing heat of Portugal.
The Hibees were never in trouble against Paul Hartley's side and managed to field 8 of the 9 new summer signings at some point during the game.
Hibs first goal came after the ball broke to Ewan Henderson, who fired past the keeper from range, following a solid challenge from Jake Doyle-Hayes in the middle of the Park.
Ryan Porteous headed in the second shortly after the half-time break.
Norwegian striker Elias Melkersen also had the ball in the net, but it was chopped off for offside.
Hibs played a 4-3-2-1 formation.
Hibs first-half XI: Marshall, Miller, Bushiri, McClelland, Stevenson, Kenneh, Doyle-Hayes, Hauge, Henderson, Tavares, Youan.
Second-half XI: Dabrowski, Cadden, Porteous, Brydon, Doig, Newell, Delferriere, Melkersen, Campbell, McGeady, Doidge.
Sub not used: Johnson
Next up, the Hibees play Burton Albion at the same venue on Friday.
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
A good work out for the team.
Some of the new signings showed glimpses of promise, but it was a game more for fitness than performance.
Hibs never looked in trouble and knocked the ball about well.
