Raith v Hibs: The warm-up!

Hibs drew with second division side Raith Rovers 0-0 over the Forth Road bridge at
Starks Park tonight.

A Hibees second string/youth side played out a fairly tame affair with their
Fife hosts and took the chance to field a few trialists.

Hibs played a
4-4-2 with three trialists, a goalkeeper, a centre half and a central midfield player.

The line-up was:

Trialist

McCann
Canning
Trialist
Gatheussi

Morais
Rankin
Trialist
Stevenson

Nish
Campbell

Subs:

Cropley
Gray
McCormack
Grof
Chisholm
Byrne

Trialists:

Keeper: Didn't have much to do, fumbled a cross and sliced one kick in to the crowd and got the usual response.

Centre Half: Looked fairly comfortable, but didn't really get tested much. The main question of the night was... Does Thierry Gatheussi have a twin???

Centre Midfielder: Probabley the best player on the park, a good range of passing and worked very hard, tired a bit near the end but will have impressed big Mixu, it's thought the player in question is former Chelsea player Joe Keenan, who has been on trial at Easter Road as of late.

Raith v Hibs: Hibs attack

The best player in the Raith Rovers side was undoubtedly their number seven Joe Dunbar, who Hibs had on trial from junior side Newtongrange Star during the summer, he ripped Thierry Gatheussi to shreds.

Quite a good Hibs support travelled, somewhere in the region of 700-1000.

A decent work out for what was basically a mix of fringe players, trialists and youth players.

No doubt the doomsday predictions will be in full flow on certain Hibees messageboards.
