Two Premiership clubs have tonight been linked with moves for out-of-favour Hibs striker Paul Heffernan.
The 32-year-old has apparently got both St Johnstone & St Mirren on his trail.
Heffernan has struggled badly to hold down a first team slot since signing for the club from Kilmarnock in 2013.
It now seems the former Sheffield Wednesday striker could be handed a lifeline back to the Premiership.
Both St Mirren and St Johnstone are in the market for a striker, and it seems Heef fits the bill.
Heffernan turned down a move to St Johnstone in the summer, but he could be handed another chance of a move to Perth during the January transfer window.
Hibs boss Alan Stubbs is not expected to stand in his way, as he continues to re-build the Hibees squad, for the push for promotion back to the Premiership.
