Otso Virtanen Leaves Hibs

Hibs have today revealed that goalkeeper Otso Virtanen has left the club.

The Finland U21 goalkeeper has returned to his homeland and joined KuPS Kuopio Football Club.

Virtanen, 22, has left Easter Road with 2-and-a-half-years still left on his contract, and follows Neal Eardley in leaving the club during the January transfer window.

6ft 5in Virtanen only managed two appearances for the Hibees, coming on as a sub during the Scottish Cup Quarter Final replay win over Inverness last season.

He also started the Uefa Europa League 1st leg tie with Brondby at Easter Road this season, losing a goal in the first minute, after spilling a tame shot, as the Hibees lost the game 0-1.

Hibs-Mad would like to wish Otso good luck for the future.
