O'Connor out to impress

18 year old Garry O'Connor goes into todays match with Dundee United hoping to further stake his claim for a Scotland cap with another fine display.

The young hotshot has been a revelation under Bobby Williamson, and his form has not gone unnoticed by new Scots boss Berti Vogts. The German legend has already stated that he wants a Joe Jordan style forward for his side, and along with his opposite for todays game - Stephen Thompson - the Edinburgh lad fits the bill perfectly.

There should be only one change from the team that beat United at Tannadice as Hibs strive to, um....beat United at Tannadice - again, and that will be the enforced change due to Ian Murray's hernia problem. Both Paul Hilland and Alan Dempsie have been named in the squad, and I think that it will be the latter who takes the field in place of Murray, who'se excellent season was brought to an unfortunate premature end.

Nick Colgan will probably have to settle for a place on the bench, as Tony Caig turned in a great performance on Tayside two weeks ago and is expected to retain his place.

Should be an exciting game with so much youth on both sides invovled, but I reckon Hibs will take the spoils 2-0.
