South African forward Ryan Moon has today learned that he has failed to land a contract with the Hibees.
Moon, 23, has been on trial with the club for the last two weeks, and made appearances in friendlies with Arbroath, Dunfermline and last night against Carlisle United.
He scored in the 3-2 defeat to Arbroath but it wasn't enough to land a contract in Edinurgh.
Moon will now move on to other options.
Editor's View:
Moon made a decent fist of his trial for the mighty green and white, so he must be dissapointed not to win a deal at Easter Road.
A goal at Gayfield and a couple of decent cameos against Dunfermline and Carlisle must have had the player thinking he had a chance of a deal.
Hibs boss Paul Heckingbottom has obviously decided he needs better and it's a sign that with the club under new ownership and a good budget to play with that they won't just settle and will push the boat out a bit more.
It's good news for the up-coming season.
Hibs still need 3-4 players in, most likely two midfielders and two strikers, so it could be an exciting end to the transfer window for the support.
