Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen has today revealed that the Hibees will NOT be offering a contract to on trial keeper Khalid Sinouh.
The 33-year-old Moroccan international has been on trial at the Hibees £5m state-of-the-art training facility at East Mains over the last fortnight, in an attempt to impress the management team at Easter Road, but Hibs boss Paatelainen has revealed no deal will be offered to the player.
Paatelainen said:
"We decided not to offer Khalid a contract. We thanked him for coming over and spending nearly two weeks with us but we just felt that he wasn't the one that we wanted. I am sure that he will find a club and is more than capable of playing at a good level.
"The goalkeepers who are already at our club are very good and I will not make hasty decisions. If the right keeper comes along then that is great but if not, I know that we have two boys here who are more than capable and have done well for us.
"There is no point in bringing someone in just to add to the squad for the sake of it."
The search for a new number one goes on.
