According to the Scottish Sun, Leicester City have joined the race to sign Hibs defender Josh Doig.
The 18-year-old, outstanding again as the Hibees brushed aside Queen of the South on Monday night in their Scottish Cup tie, has already been linked with Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Leeds Utd and Celtic, but it now seems Bredan Rodgers is keen on the player.
The King Power Stadium side scouted the youngster in Dumfries on Monday night, and would have impressed as Doig strolled through the game in another impressive display.
It seems the Hibees could face a massive struggle to hold on to their prized asset come the summer.
EDITORS VIEW:
First of all the figure qouted in the article - £1.5m - Not in a month of Sunday's.
It's going to take A LOT more to land a player with huge potential and one who has just signed a new, long-term contract at Easter Road.
With some massive clubs (and Celtic) watching the youngster, Hibs will be hoping a bidding war breaks out.
Hibs will be looking for a big fee, and most ikely a sell-on clause.
It's going to be an interesting summer.
