Hibs have today confirmed that full-back Jason Naismith has left Easter Road, following the early conclusion of the 2019-20 SPFL season.
The league has been brought to an end following the coronavirus outbreak, and it means loan players return to their parent clubs early.
Naismith, 25, had been in excellent form since signing for the Hibees on loan at the end of the summer transfer window, but unfortunately suffered a horror knee injury that forced him out for the rest of the season.
The former Ross County defender played 13 times for Hibs and scored 1 goal.
His early season form had it rumoured that the Hibees would make a six figure bid for the Peterborough player this summer, but that is now obviously on the back burner.
Editor's View:
Naismith would be a very good signing if he can come back from his injury.
He seems to be well out the picture at Peterborough, and Hibs were keen before the shutdown.
However, with the start of a new season still up in the air, Nasmith's future remains unclear.
