New Hibs boss Terry Butcher has been handed a huge boost, with the news that Scout Steve Marsella is set join him at the club.
Butcher and No.2 Maurice Malpas joined the Hibees last week, and Inverness Caledonian Thistle have now confirmed that Marsella will be joining them.
Marsella had a combined role of scout and goalkeeping coach with the Highland club, but it's unclear wether he will continue with the goalkeepers, as Hibs already have goalkeeping coach Scott Thomson in place.
He is responsible for Inverness picking up the likes of the Shinnie brothers, Billy McKay, Ross Draper and Aaron Doran and comes with an excellent reputation.
Butcher has started his overhaul of the backroom staff at Easter Road, with Jimmy Nicholl already having left the club.
The likes of Alan Maybury and the afore mentioned Scott Thomson could have their positions under review.
A statement on the Inverness Caledonian website reads:
Inverness Caledonian Thistle FC have reached a compensation agreement with Hibernian FC and scout Steve Marsella is to take up post at Easter Road.
Chairman Kenny Cameron said: "We have had several discussions with Steve but in the end he has decided to go and compensation has been settled.
"We thank him for his contribution."
Hibs are expected to make an official announcement in the next few days.
