Hibs captain Rob Jones is a wanted man, as the race for his signature in the summer gathers pace.
Jones, 29, is expected to play his last game for the Hibees in Saturday's final SPL game of the season against Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
Newly relegated West Brom are now favourites for his signature, but will be challenged by a number of clubs.
Nottingham Forest and Colchester United both had bids rejected for the 6ft 7 in giant during the summer transfer window, with Colchester offering a laughable £100,000, with a follow up of £150,000.
Forest are thought to have had a £500,000 bid turned down.
Bristol City, Swansea City, and Derby County have all now apparently enquired about Jones.
Leeds Utd are also in the frame.
Hibs are looking for £1.5m for their cup winning captain, and it seems a bidding war could be on the horizon.
Ex Hibs boss Mowbray is a known huge admirer of the big stopper, and his no2 Mark Venus joined both Billy Davies and Nigel Clough in the Easter Road stands to spy on the player, during the recent clashes with Rangers & Celtic.
Jones will be a huge loss to the Hibees, he captained the club to the 2007 Scottish League Cup, with a 5-1 win over Kilmarnock at Hampden and has been an inspirational figure in defence during his 3 year stay in Edinburgh.
Former boss Tony Mowbray paid Grimsby Town just £150,000 in what has to be described as a bargain in 2006.
It looks likely that big "Jonah" has played his last game at the Holy Ground, after 117 games and 14 goals.
