Hibs have today revealed that youngster Emmanuel Johnson has joined FC Edinburgh on loan.
The 19-year-old hs joined the Meadowbank club until the end of the season, and is the latest kid to head "up the road" since the two clubs announced their strategic partnership - Jack Brydon having already joined the club.
American Johnson can play anwywhere on the right hand side, and has just returned to the Hibees from an impressive loan spell with another club partner, USL side Charleston Battery.
Johnson will also train with the Hibees development squad, and play the odd development game every so often during the loan spell with Alan Maybury's League One side.
Academy Director Steve Kean, speaking to the official club website said:
“EJ has only just moved to the country and has really hit the ground running with us.
“He’s adapted really quickly to the style of football, and this loan move will help develop all parts of his game. He will continue to work on his technical ability with us in the Development Squad and will play in some really competitive games for FC Edinburgh.
“The combination of the two will accelerate his progression and will make him an even better young player.”
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
Another loan spell can do the laddie no harm at all.
Johnson looks a real unit and should take to League One with ease.
He impressed whilst on-loan with Charleston in his homeland, and if he carries that form forward with FC Edinburgh, he should do well.
Good luck AJ.
