Young Hibs striker Damon Gray has joined first division side Partick Thistle on an emergency one month loan deal.

Gray, 19, has been signed by Partick boss Ian McCall until March 22nd and goes into the Jags squad for their clash with Queen of the South on Saturday.

The English kid joined the Hibees after being released by home town club Newcastle United and has been in sensational form for the Hibs U19 and reserve sides over the last couple of seasons.

He hit 35 goals for both sides last season as well as scoring his first senior goal for the Hibees against
Aberdeen in a 2-2 draw at Pittodrie.

Damon also played from the start in last season's Scottish Cup semi final replay defeat to Dunfermline Athletic at Hampden.

He has already hit 10+ goals this season and a loan spell with Partick Thistle will add some first team experience to his undoubted talent, he has played seven times for the Hibernian first team.

A loan spell for the young Geordie to Stirling Albion earlier this season fell through at the last minute, due to the sudden departure of then Hibs manager John Collins.
