Hibs winger Daniel Mackay has today signed for Inverness Caledonian Thistle on loan.
The 21-year-old was set to join Raith Rovers on loan, and had an offer from Dunfermline Athletic, but he has chosen to head back to the Highlands for the 2023 season.
Mackay signed for the Hibees in a £200,000 deal from the Championship side in 2021 on a 4-year-deal, but sporadic injuries have limited his game time at Easter Road.
He has impressed when given the chance, and scored in the Europa Conference League last season.
The youngster impressed whilst on loan with Kilmarnock for the second half of last sesason, winning the Championship with the Ayrshire club.
Mackay will now gain more game time with his former club.
HIBS-MAD VIEW:
A good move for Daniel, he knows the club well and knows he can impress at Championship level.
More game time for the kid will help his development massively, and hopefully he will come back to Edinburgh next season, ready to make his mark on the first team.
He has massive potential, and could be a massive player for us in the future.
