Hibs boss Colin Calderwood is to hand a trial to exciting Irish youngster Ryan Brennan this summer.
The 19-year-old midfielder will spend time with the Hibees this pre-season, as he looks to win himself a move to British football.
Breenan is currently with Irish side Monaghan United, and has scored 4 goals from midfield so far this season in the Airtricity First Division.
Monaghan manager Roddy Collins said:
“He is unbelievable. I don’t see one weakness in his game. It’s a big statement and a bold statement but I don’t see one weakness in his game. This kid, in my opinion, can go all the way.
“He’s very level headed. That’s why I recommended him. He’s the sort of guy that you wouldn’t have a worry about him losing his concentration because of this stuff”
Speaking of a possible move to Easter Road Collins said:
“He’s going to go over to train at a couple of clubs. I spoke to my friends across the water so he’s definitely going to a couple of clubs on pre-season and see what happens from there. Hibs are one of them for sure.”
