According to a report in the Daily Record, Hibs are set to make an offer for Hamilton midfielder Hakeem Odoffin.
The 23-year-old only joined the Accies last season from Livingston, as a rightback, but was moved in to midfield and was a revelation.
Hibs boss Jack Ross is moving quickly after losing Aussie international Jackson Irvine earlier today, and the Hibees are set to make an offer for the player.
The 6ft 3in former Tottenham and Wolves youth still has 12 months left on his contract, and it is thought Hibs will have to fend off interest from English side Rotherham to land the player.
Odoffin has previosuly had spells with Barnet, Eastleigh and Northampton Town before heading to Scotland.
Editor's View:
This is the kind of player Hibs are crying out for - A big powerful midfielder who can get about the pitch.
There is also the added bonus that he can play at right back or in the centre of defence.
Hibs might have to fend of other suitors to land the player, but let's hope they move quickly, if indeed, this story is true.
Odoffin is also young at 23, hopefully a player that can have some good years at Easter Road.
