Hibs are to give two trialists a second chance to impress boss John Collins and his assistant Tommy Craig.

One of the trialists is Cameroon right back Thierry Gathuessi, who can also play centre half and he, along with the other trialist, will be invited back to Edinburgh to train with the squad after impressing on the pre-season trip to Austria.

Gathuessi is with FC Sete in France and is contracted to 2008, but Hibs are hopeful that if they swoop for the player they will get him for a nominal fee.

The second player on trial is a striker and he has also impressed Collins, but as yet his identity is unknown. All we know is that his first name is Tomas.

Hibs boss John Collins said of the pair:

"We've had a few days to look at the players now and to see how they are building up an understanding with the rest of the players in the team.

"For the game against Vocklabruck I will probably use the majority of the players that we have brought out to Austria.

"The two trialists, Thierry and Tomas, have done very well and have integrated into the squad without any problems.

"They have done enough to impress Tommy and myself and as a result, we will be taking them back to Edinburgh with us for a further week of training to see if we can come to some kind of arrangement."
