Hibs have today revealed that veteran defender Michael Nelson has been told he is free to find a new club.
The 34-year-old former Killie and Hartlepool defender joined from Bradford City last summer and has made 37 appearances for the club.
After discussions with the club, both parties have come to an agreement that Nelson can go if a suitable offer comes in.
Nelson's agent Clive Hart said:
"Alan [Stubbs] has spoken to Michael and told him his opportunities are likely to be limited this season and that the club won't stand in his way if the right opportunity comes along," Hart told Sky Sports.
"Hibs have been very understanding in the whole thing and Alan has told Michael he is happy to have him around the club if nothing arises as he is very good to have around the place."
