According to the Edinburgh Evening News, Hibs are eyeing a move for Hearts keeper Zander Clark.
The 32-year-old is a free agent this summer, and is apparently open to a move to Easter Road after falling behind Craig Gordon in the pecking order at Tynecastle.
Hibs boss David Gray is ready to launch a pre-contract move for the Scotland international to arrive this summer, however a January move is unlikely.
The Hibees have a number of keepers on their shortlist for January, and it seems Rotherham keeper Cameron Dawson is one of them.
6ft 4in Dawson is a well travelled and experienced keeper, he started his career with Sheffield Wednesday in 2013 and played 130 times.
He also had numerous loan spells with the likes of Plymouth, Wycombe, Chesterfield and Exeter City, before making the permanent move to Rotherham last summer, where he has played 13 times.
HIBERNIAN-MAD VIEW
The Hibees are in real need of another keeper.
The loan signing of Josef Bursik has not worked out, with the English keeper making numerous mistakes and losing his place to Jordan Smith.
Smith, after a shaky start has impressed between the sticks, but needs competition.
The signing of Clark would be both, a good one, and a controversial one, Clark has been a good keeper for Hearts, but is frustrated at having lost his place to Craig Gordon after his return from Injury.
Dawson we know not a lot about, but he has loads of experience, and at a good level of the English Championship.
However, he is apparently one of a number of names on a shortlist.
