Hibs boss Pat Fenlon has made his first move into the transfer market since taking charge at Easter Road.
Sligo Rovers full back Iarfhlaith Davoren has arrived at the club's £5m training facility at East Mains, Tranent, on trial.
Davoren, 25, can play at either left back or left wing, and is known as an energetic full back, who loves to get forward.
Fenlon has targeted a Hibees defence that has leaked a shocking 26 goals in 16 matches this season.
Davoren has spent his whole career in Ireland, having played with Athlone Town, Galway United, Longford Town and Sligo Rovers.
